The Community Growth Institute
The Community Growth Institute has the ability to professionally operate your entire Planning and
Zoning Department, or provide custom and specialized planning services, at a cost that is less than
the cost of hiring a staff planner. The quality of service provided by CGI's Planning Team far
exceeds that which is normally available to a small town or rural community, particularly when
compared to the skills of a single planner.
Our focus on the fast - growing communities of Rural America provides us to develop workable
solutions to complex problems. Your community will realize long -term benefit by utilizing the
resources and expertise of the Community Growth Institute.
Our Mission is to change the way planning is done in small towns and rural communities, making
it an essential tool for leaders and decision - makers.
The Community Growth Institute accomplishes this by offering the services of a full planning
department at a cost competitive with what would traditionally be paid for planning services of
lesser quality.
By specializing in fast - growing rural areas, we help people in the communities we serve to
understand the forces impacting their growth and then work together to envision, plan for and attain
the future they desire.
Our promise to you is that we will:
1. Without prejudice, reflect the vision of the community as represented in the community's
planning documents.
2. Respect the will of the community as enacted in land use policies and regulations.
3. Serve the elected and appointed officials of the community, understanding they are the
decision - makers elected by the people they represent.
4. Always seek the truth through an exchange of ideas that is open, honest and without bias.
5. Continually improve community access to planning information and processes.
6. Provide service that is friendly,. responsive and professional.
To best serve your community's needs, we are recommending:
Level 3 Network Community, and
Quality Permitting.
These offerings are explained in greater detail in the following pages.
