All accidents will be reviewed by the Safety Committee to determine if the accident <br />was preventable or non - preventable. <br />2. The Accident Review Committee will use the City' guidelines for determining <br />whether an accident is preventable or non - preventable. <br />3. All accidents that are voted as preventable will be counted as an accident on the <br />employee's record. <br />4. The driver has the right to appeal, in writing, if there is disagreement with the <br />Committee's action. Appeals shall be made to the Council liaison. <br />Section 3: Definition of an Acceptable Driver <br />Any employees or volunteers driving on behalf of the City need to maintain a valid state driver's <br />license, and a rating of "Poor" or higher in accordance with the "Acceptable Driver" definitions <br />listed in the policy. <br />A 36 -month period is reviewed to determine an employee's driver rating. Moderate Convictions, citations that involve possession of opened container or alcoholic <br />beverages, shall be equal to three minor citations. <br />B. Major Convictions, are immediately considered "Unacceptable."
