Aggressive Driving <br />Drivers shall not resort to aggressive driving or road rage under any circumstances. <br />Examples of aggressive driving include: <br />1. <br />Speeding <br />2. <br />Tailgating <br />3. <br />Failure to signal a lane change <br />4. <br />Running red lights and stop signs <br />5. <br />Weaving in traffic <br />6. <br />Yelling <br />7. <br />Making obscene gestures <br />8. <br />Excessive use of horn <br />I. Vehicle Emergency Procedures <br />When it's absolutely necessary to stop on a highway or city street in case of an <br />emergency, use extreme caution: <br />1. Warning signals and lights shall be used. <br />2. Emergency lighting and/or flashers shall be used, if the vehicle is so equipped. <br />3. Flares, fuses, warning flags, reflector triangles or other emergency equipment shall <br />be used to give adequate advance warning, where applicable for commercial <br />vehicles. <br />Section 2: Accident Reporting <br />A. What is the Definition of an Accident? <br />1. An accident is defined as any accident involving a City vehicle which results in <br />property damage and/or personal injury, regardless of who was injured, what <br />property was damaged, to what extent, or where it occurred, in which the driver in <br />question failed to exercise every reasonable precaution to prevent it. <br />B. What to do at the Scene of an Accident <br />1. Report all vehicle accidents. <br />2. Complete a Driver's Accident Report <br />C. City of Pequot Lakes will investigate all accidents involving City of Pequot Lakes <br />vehicles. The following shall be considered: <br />1. It is unlawful to leave the scene of any accident if you are involved in the <br />accident, without furnishing your name, address and vehicle information to the <br />other driver. Any hit and run accident, on private or public property, should be <br />reported to the local police, sheriff or state patrol office with jurisdiction. <br />2.
