As owners of property on West Twin Lake we would <br /> like to offer the following comments. <br /> We are definitely in favor of allowing Guest Cottages and Guest Quarters but have concerns. <br /> 1. We strongly believe there should be only one guest cottage or guest quarter for each lot. <br /> 2. We believe the lot width should be reduced from 180 feet to 100 feet. Many lots on our lake do <br /> not have 180' at the setback line but have a lot of land behind it. It seems fair to allow those lots to <br /> have a Guest Cottage or Guest Quarter as well. <br /> 3. We also would like to maintain the same side yard setback and 75' from OHW as the primary <br /> dwelling. <br /> 4. We believe a Guest Cottage would be a third separate structure and would not have an effect on <br /> an existing garage or other accessory building(I believe it's 1,250 square feet)? Adding a Guest <br /> Quarter would increase the accessory building size by 700 square feet. <br /> With regard to the proposed setback in the Water Oriented Accessory Structure amendment—we believe <br /> these accessory buildings really shouldn't be any closer to the OHW than 75' or we run the risk of them being <br /> too visible (both from people out on the lake and from our neighbors). And the side yard setback should really <br /> be the same as it is for the main dwelling.
