Minutes of the Job Evaluation Committee <br />Thursday, July 9, 2009 <br />Members Present: Nancy Malecha, Cathy Malecha, Sandy Peine, Mike Loven, and <br />Jerry Braam <br />JOB DESCRIPTION REVIEW <br />The following job descriptions were reviewed: <br />Sergeant — New Position <br />Jerry Braam presented a job description for Sergeant. The committee reviewed the <br />description. This position was discussed by the committee in 2007 and points were given <br />at that time. However, the committee did not move forward with presenting this <br />information in 2007. Jerry indicated at this meeting that he is ready to have the Council <br />consider adding this position. Nancy M. informed the committee that the points given to <br />this position in 2007 were 353. The Committee concurred that this is still valid. Nancy <br />noted that the pay scale for the sergeant position would be $20.19 to $26.49. Sandy was <br />requested to do the outside equity research for this position. <br />Water/Wastewater Operator <br />Minor Changes — Not more than 20% <br />City Clerk/Treasurer <br />Minor Changes — Not more than 20% <br />Police Chief <br />Minor Changes — Not more than 20% <br />Office Assistant <br />Minor Changes — Not more than 20% <br />Finance Administrator <br />Minor Changes — Not more than 20% <br />Zoning Administrator <br />Minor Changes — Not more than 20% <br />*If job duty changes that are less than 20% no change in points or pay is considered. <br />STATE JOB MATCH POINTS <br />Sandy distributed the updated State Job Match points. <br />It was the consensus of the committee to make no changes to job points for any of the <br />positions. <br />
