Chuck stated that the Planning <br />Commission recommends the rezoning request be approved based on <br />findings of fact submitted by the Planning Commission. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO APPROVE ORDINANCE 09 -05, <br />THE REZONING REQUEST FROM HUNT TECHNOLOGIES FROM <br />RURAL RESIDENTIAL TO LIGHT INDUSTRIAL BASED ON 5 <br />FINDINGS OF FACT AS LISTED IN THE AUGUST 25, 2009 PLANNING <br />COMMISSION REPORT. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED <br />THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />6.2. Ordinance Amendment Establishing Grow Zone Standards <br />Staff report by Chuck Marohn. Chuck Marohn stated that the grow zone <br />provides standards to streamline the permitting process in the downtown <br />mixed use zone. He stated that presently most uses require conditional <br />use permits. Mr. Marohn explains that this ordinance is an alternative to <br />the present standards. He indicated that the Planning Commission has <br />�..- recommended approval of the ordinance amendment. <br />Council Member Nagel questioned if the parking regulations are we too <br />restrictive. Chuck noted that this issue will still need to be addressed. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 09 -06 <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 17 RELATING TO ESTABLISHING A GROW <br />ZONE OVERLAY DISTRICT. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN SECONDED <br />THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO APPROVE PUBLICATION <br />OF A SUMMARY ORDINANCE FOR ORDINANCE 09 -06. COUNCIL <br />MEMBER MALECHA SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5- <br />0. <br />6.3. After - the -Fact Permit for Lonesome Cottage <br />This item was withdrawn from the agenda. <br />6.4. Request by CLA Properties to Vacate Portions of First Street and Second <br />Street <br />Justin Bolz - Andolshek addressed the Council regarding his request to <br />vacate portions of First Street and Second Street. <br />
