CHANGE ORDER #3 FOR THE SOUTH OAK STREET PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT OF $7,464.25 3.7. PARTIAL PAY ESTIMATE #4 PAYABLE TO DECHANTEL EXCAVATING IN THE AMOUNT OF 98,291.83 FOR WORK ON THE SOUTH OAK STREET PROJECT 3.8. PARTIAL PAY ESTIMATE #2 PAYABLE TO TRI CITY PAVING IN THE AMOUNT OF $23,323.11 FOR WORK ON THE BUTLERIWOODMAN STREET PROJECTS COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. 4. Open Forum Brian Laudenbach, General Manager of Oasis Center in Peguot Lakes - Mr. Laudenbach read a letter addressed to the Mayor and City Council Members. He stated that he is in the process of purchasing the Oasis Liquor Store. He asked the City Council to consider not granting `-- another off -sale liquor license. He stated that he will be disappointed if the Council supports tax increment for a new retailer in town as it is not fair to the retailers who have invested in the community so far. Terry DeSutter, 20997 County Road 107 - Mr. DeSutter stated that the Council's decision whether or not to move forward with the developer's request will decide whether Pequot Lakes moves forward or remains stagnant. He stated there has been an issue regarding location of businesses in the core downtown area. He stated that there are many businesses that are not located in the downtown area. Mavis Thompson, 30497 State Highway 371 - Ms. Thompson presented a petition with approximately 400 names of people who are in favor of the new grocery store. She noted that presently many people go to Brainerd to buy groceries and that voting in favor of this grocery store will keep people in town. Trent Jones - Wooddale Apartments in Peguot Lakes - Mr. Jones stated he is In favor of the grocery store. He indicated he has spoken to many people who are also in favor of the new grocery store. He indicated he needs a job and requested the Council to vote in favor of the grocery store. I,.-.
