City of <br /> Pequot <br /> Lakes= <br /> August 2020 Public Works Report <br /> Buildings• <br /> -Weekly full cleaning of facilities including additional Covid related wipe-downs <br /> - Solicited numerous bids for Cares Act Funding(HVAC, City Hall Entrance Improvements, <br /> Controlled Entry Systems, Cleaning, etc.) <br /> - Responded to several Service Orders to the Library(Paper stocking,mailbox) <br /> - Removed Recyclin�at City Hall & Clean/maintain Oil Rec,�g Bin <br /> - Conducted Monthly Building Inspections <br /> - Grounds maintenance <br /> - the PW Back Lot Gravel Pad was leveled and extended to accommodate seasonal offpavement Truck <br /> Plow and Attachment storage w/o damaging pavement <br /> Streets• <br /> -Repaired multiple washouts, shoulders, and potholes due to storms and runoff issues <br /> - Remaining Seasonal street maintenance efforts were coordinated,budgeted, and planned to ensure <br /> the priority problems and budgetary specifications aze addressed in 2020 as needed and planned. <br /> - ongoing fleet maintenance including greasing, washing, oil changes, filters, etc. <br /> - worked on extensive sign repair/replacement/rehab needs in town(Rasmussen—Trails, Handicapped; <br /> No Parking, Authorized only, etc.) <br /> - our recently purchased Loader and Skid Steer Grapple attachments were used multiple times in Aug. <br /> -helped coordinate Cracksealing and Patch repair work in town from Anderson Brothers <br /> - Coordinated with Outdoor Specialties on additional striping/Cracksealing/repair work on Turnback <br /> Roads—Requesting Funds allocation from Council to proceed <br /> - Conducted a Final walk-through on the Rasmussen Road Construction project with engineer, <br /> inspector, R.L. Larson Supervisor <br /> - Many locates were called in for numerous Mailbox Installations, 911 Signs, and Street Signs <br /> - installed several mailboxes and 911 signs <br /> - Removed some fallen trees near road edges in town <br /> - Repaired potholes on Nelson, Akerson, and 1 St Street(near Speedway/Dollar Tree) <br /> - analyzed and planned with Clerk on Fleet Improvement needs and other Budgetary Items <br /> -Attended a Cooperative Roads virtual meeting and had lots of coordination on the RFP Development <br /> and Presentation(for Pequot Sept. 1 St Mtg.). This is specific to a coordinated effort to improve Nelson, <br /> Wild Acres, Akerson, and Bushman Roads. <br /> Parks• <br /> - emptied Garbage Cans, watered Bobber Park Flowers, 74 new trees, &20 dogwood shrubs <br /> -August's welcome rains enable our parks and grassy areas to grow well and PW staff has done <br /> excellent work in keeping up with the mowing and whipping needs in town <br /> -maintenance and troubleshooting coordination with AAA Equipment on our 52"X-mark mower <br /> (excessive blowback) <br /> - Coordinated reprogramming/repair on irrigation controls in Trailside Park <br /> - Communicated w/Flag Vendor to Proceed with Armed Services Display Project as bid <br /> - Communicated w/previous Flag Vendor to request help in lighting the Betsy Ross Flag display and <br /> replace the existing 20' pole. (It was discovered it is currently out of compliance for Flag Protocol) <br /> -Had 2 incidences of Vandalism in Trailside Park <br /> - Hung 2 new Notification Boxes to help display reservation announcement at Trailside and Sibley Lk <br /> Park Picnic Shelters <br /> Other: <br /> - Citv Sig�Message updates <br />
