Compose and transcribe Safety Committee meeting minutes <br />C. Processes citations and payments for Police Department <br />D. Provides clerical support for the Planning and Zoning <br />Department <br />E. Types and copies letters, memos and resolutions <br />F. Transcribes machine dictation for Police Department <br />Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: <br />• Knowledge of general office practices and procedures <br />• Ability to work effectively with other city personnel, vendors, and the public <br />• Ability to follow oral and written instructions <br />• Ability to organize daily work, set priorities, and work independently <br />• Ability to present positive and professional image of the City to the public <br />• Ability to use computer, word processing software, fax, transcription machines, <br />copier and other standard office machines <br />• Ability to accurately type 45 words per minute <br />Minimum Oualifications: <br />• High school education or equivalent <br />• Two years clerical and/or receptionist/customer service experience <br />• Experience with word processing <br />• Valid Class D Driver's License <br />Preferred Oualifications: <br />• Previous experience in municipal government <br />• Utility billing experience <br />• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Access, Powerpoint and Word <br />Page 2 <br />S: \Sandy DocumentsTrnployees\Job Descriptions\Revisions \Office Assistant 09.doc <br />
