C. Responds to public inquiries and meets publication and notice <br />requirements. <br />Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: <br />• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles as defined by GASB. <br />• Knowledge of City operations, ordinances and practices related to finance, <br />budgeting and accounting. <br />• Knowledge of laws, practices and regulations applicable to City government <br />finances. <br />• Knowledge of banking activities. <br />• Knowledge of computerized accounting systems. <br />• Knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing and database software. <br />• Ability to prepare and administer an annual budget. <br />• Ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines. <br />• Ability to analyze and interpret financial information and accurately prepare <br />financial statements and reports. <br />• Ability to effectively interact with the general public, supervisors, employees, and <br />City Council. <br />• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. <br />• Knowledge of State election laws and election procedures. <br />�. • Knowledge of State Records Retention requirements. <br />• Ability to prepare reports and present reports to the city staff and City Council. <br />• Ability to supervise, direct, and motivate employees. <br />Minimum Oualifications: <br />High school education or equivalent <br />3 years of municipal experience in the finance and/or city clerk's department. <br />Previous supervisory experience. <br />Preferred Oualifications: <br />• Previous experience as a City Clerk or Government Finance Officer /Treasurer. <br />• Associate's degree in communication, business administration, accounting, or related <br />degree. <br />• Certified Municipal Clerk <br />Page 3 <br />
