B. <br />Initiates and completes city accounts payable; codes invoices to proper fund, <br />Prepares correspondence, reports, memos, letters and required documents. <br />submits for approval, prints, verifies, and produces checks. <br />C. <br />Reconciles bank statements monthly. <br />D. <br />Develops and provides accounting guidelines and information for budget <br />Prepares annual fire contracts. <br />preparation and compiles departmental budgets. <br />E. <br />Monitors overall budgets and expenses and reports information to State agencies. <br />F. <br />Prepares information for annual audit and works with Auditors during audit. <br />G. <br />Prepares Information for Workers Compensation Audit. <br />H. <br />Compiles Information and maintains formulas and spreadsheets for pay equity <br />Monitors and compiles information for the City's insurances, including worker's <br />and comparable worth. <br />I. <br />Processes TIF payments and monitors TIF funds. <br />J. <br />Reconciles petty cash and criminal investigation funds. <br />K. <br />Compiles and monitors capital asset and useful life information. <br />L. <br />Monitors investments and pledged collateral. <br />M <br />Compiles financial statements for Council, Department Heads, state agencies and <br />legal publication <br />3. Utility Billing <br />A. Provides assistance and ensures accuracy of utility billing and maintenance. <br />B. Provides assistance to the public. <br />C. Process utility billing payments. <br />4. Other Duties. <br />A. <br />Prepares correspondence, reports, memos, letters and required documents. <br />B. <br />Coordinates and maintains the City's website. <br />C. <br />Issues dog licenses. <br />D. <br />Prepares annual fire contracts. <br />E. <br />Attends city council meetings in the absence of the City Clerk. <br />F. <br />Provides assistance to the public and handles incoming calls. <br />G. <br />Serves as notary public. <br />H. <br />Maintains proper licensing of City vehicles. <br />I. <br />Monitors and compiles information for the City's insurances, including worker's <br />compensation, property and casualty, liability, and health and processes claims. <br />J. <br />Monitors and compiles information for collection agency. <br />K. <br />Holds title of Deputy City Clerk to handle duties of the City Clerk in the absence <br />of the City Clerk <br />Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: <br />- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles as defined by GASB. <br />- Knowledge of City operations, ordinances and practices related to finance, budgeting and <br />accounting and payroll. <br />- Knowledge of computerized accounting systems and the ability to instruct departmental <br />staff in the use of the software. <br />Ability to analyze and interpret financial information and accurately prepare financial <br />\.. statements and reports <br />0) <br />
