City Council Minutes <br /> August 4, 2020 <br /> Page 9 of 10 <br /> ----------------------------- <br /> Council Member Swanson inquired where David Drown Associates would be <br /> advertising the position. Ms. Donabauer stated that she will send a <br /> comprehensive list of the multiple areas they will be utilizing to advertise for the <br /> position. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON MOVED TO ACCEPT THE AMENDED CITY <br /> ADMINISTRATOR'S COMMUNITY/POSITION PROFILE, SALARY RANGE, <br /> CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES CITY ADMINISTRATOR JOB DESCRIPTION AND <br /> SEARCH SCHEDULE FROM DAVID DROWN ASSOCIATES. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER SWANSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> Mayor Pro-Tem Seils stated she and Council Member Pederson spoke with the <br /> City Clerk/Treasurer and Administrative Assistant regarding taking on the duties <br /> of the City Administrator until the City is able to hire the position. They stated <br /> they would take over the duties, however would like a temporary wage increase. <br /> Council Member Pederson stated ar+�as of concern are personnel, legal affairs <br /> and supervising of department heads: He suggested possibly utilizing the Council <br /> Members to serve liaisons to each dep�rtment. Discussion ensued regarding <br /> duties in City Hall and possible council liaisons tb the different departments. <br /> Angie Duus requested temporary wage increa�s for the City Clerk/Treasurer <br /> and Administrative Assistant retro to July 27, 2C�2U. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON MOVED TO ACCEpT THE TEMPORARY <br /> WAGE INCREASES FOR THE CITY CLERK/TREASIJR�R AND <br /> ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT RETRO TO JULY 27, 2020. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER PEDERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON MOVED TO TABLE THE TEMPORARY <br /> COUNCIL/LIAISON ASSIGNMENTS UNTIL THE SEPTEMBER 1, 2020 <br /> MEETING. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 40. <br /> 10.6. ChanQe November Council Meetina Date <br /> Angie Duus requested the Council change the November 3�d City Council <br /> Meeting Tuesday to November 10th at 6:30 p.m. based on the following <br /> information: <br /> • November 3�d is General Election Day and no public meetings can be <br /> held between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. <br /> • The canvassing of election results needs to be accomplished at a City <br /> Council Meeting between November 6th and November 14�h. November <br /> 11th is Veteran's Day and City cannot hold canvass on that day. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON MOVED TO CHANGE THE NOVEMBER 3RD <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING TO NOVEMBER 10T" AT 6:30 P.M.
