Maintenance Worker's Probationarv Period <br /> Jason Gorr informed the Council that Nick Roy was hired as a City Maintenance <br /> Worker on December 4, 2019 and his six-month performance review was <br /> processed on May 28�'. He stated that Mr. Roy successfully completed his <br /> probationary period and is meeting the performance expectations of this position. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON ACKNOWLEDGED NICK ROY'S <br /> SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF HIS SIX-MONTH PROBATIONARY PERIOD <br /> AS THE CITY'S MAINTENANCE WORKER. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 9.4. Wastewater Treatment Plant Certificate of Commendation <br /> Jason Gorr stated that the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has again <br /> awarded the City's Wastewater Treatment System a Certificate or <br /> Commendation for the past year. He stated that after a little research it seems <br /> that our system has given us an award every single year they were eligible to <br /> receive it. He stated this recognition is given to reflect what the system and its <br /> operators have a year in full compliance. <br /> Mr. Gorr stated that he would like to personally recognize the ongoing efforts of <br /> our contracted operators from Pine River Area Sanitary District. He stated that <br /> their training, professionalism, and great work ethic help keep our local <br /> environment, drinking water, and our local businesses safe even during stressful <br /> times such as COVID-19. <br /> The City Council acknowledged and expressed their appreciation to the <br /> contracted operators from the Pine River Area Sanitary District for the valuable <br /> services they provide our community. <br /> 9.5. Amended Public Works Joint Powers Aqreement with Loon Lake Township <br /> Jason Gorr stated that they reached a Joint Powers Agreement with Loon Lake <br /> Township on the shared roads and finalized the agreement on May 27th at a <br /> meeting with himself, Nancy Malecha, and Rick Wilson the Loon Lake Township <br /> Road Supervisor. He stated the changes are an improvement and the City of <br /> Pequot Lakes was doing more than their fair share for years. He pointed out that <br /> the Public Works Department will be taking on greater responsibilities in dealing <br /> with a contracted grader for 9�' Avenue SW, northerly portion. He stated this road <br /> has had quite a few complaints and hopefully this will be a solution. <br />
