PARTIAL PAY ESTIMATE #2 TO DECHANTEL EXCAVATING <br />FOR WORK ON THE SOUTH OAK PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT <br />OF $59,299.65 WITH A RETAINER OF 5 %. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br />CARRIED 5 -0. <br />4. Open Forum <br />No one present for open forum. <br />5. Presentations <br />5.1. Presentation from Sheriff Dahl <br />Sheriff Dahl distributed a quarterly report. Sheriff Dahl addressed the <br />Council regarding issues that related to the County and jurisdictions that <br />the Sheriff's Office serves. He informed the Council of a future <br />communication upgrade. <br />5.2. Heart Saver Awards <br />Chief Braam presented the following heart saver awards that are <br />associated with the life saving incident of Mr. Michael Ward: <br />• Jeremie Bridge — First Responder <br />• John Derksen — First Responder <br />• Todd Szymanski — First Responder <br />• Mike Schwankl — First Responder <br />• Matt Kieselbach — First Responder <br />• Josh Cameron — First Responder <br />• Katherine Braam — First Responder <br />• Sgt. J.D. Berns — Police Reserves <br />• Officer Josh Gartner — Police Department <br />Michael Ward and Ms. Ward were present and thanked all who were <br />involved in the life- saving event. <br />5.3. Small Cities Development Grant Update <br />Elissa Rogers updated the Council on the Small Cities Development <br />Grant. She noted that she has looked at the public facilities and <br />commercial rehab portion of the grant and found that this probably would <br />not work. She indicated that in working with the HRA it looks like there <br />may be a potential of submitting a joint renter /owner occupied housing <br />
