PEQUOT LAKES <br />PARK COMMISSION <br />THURSDAY, MAY 14, 2009 <br />CITY HALL <br />Members Present: Chair Tweed, Commission Members Jurchen, Johnson, Den <br />Hartog, and Clement <br />Staff Present: Council Member Malecha; Mike Loven, Public Works <br />Supervisor; Mayor Adams; and Sandy Peine, City Clerk <br />Call Meeting to Order <br />Meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m. by Chair Tweed <br />2. Approve Park Commission Minutes <br />MOTION WAS MADE BY COMMISSIONER JURCHEN TO APPROVE <br />THE MARCH 12, 2009, PARK COMMISSION MINUTES. <br />COMMISSIONER JOHNSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br />CARRIED 5 -0. <br />'*.1 3. Park Brochure <br />The Park Commission reviewed the draft park brochure from Jamie <br />DenHartog. Suggestions were given to Jamie to include in the brochure. <br />Jamie indicated he would include the suggestions and bring the brochure <br />to the June meeting for another review. The Commission suggested <br />having the brochure ready by July 4, 2009. <br />4. Summer Bands <br />Council Member Malecha informed the Park Commission Members that <br />she is still working out the final details in coordinating the summer band <br />program. She indicated that she could possibly have the schedule ready <br />within a week or two. <br />5. Park Garbage Cans <br />Public Works Director Mike Loven noted that we are short about 6 to 8 <br />garbage cans for the parks. He informed the Commission that there is a <br />budget of $1,000 for the purchase of garbage cans. <br />`., <br />
