City Council Minutes <br />June 2, 2009 <br />Page 4 of 7 <br />FUNDED FROM THE CAPITAL OUTLAY FUND. COUNCIL MEMBER <br />NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />9.3. Parking Lot for Gildner Park <br />The Park Commission has recommended that a parking lot be added to <br />Gildner Park for safety purposes. The Commission is recommending that <br />the parking lot be paid for from the Park Dedication fund. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA MOVED TO ACCEPT THE QUOTE <br />FROM DECHANTAL EXCAVATING, LLC. IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$5,283.25 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE PARKING LOT AT <br />GILDNER PARK USING PARK DEDICATION FUNDS. COUNCIL <br />MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5- <br />0. <br />9.4. Change Order Overlay for South Oak Street from Pillsbury to Nelson <br />Street <br />Mike Loven discussed Change Order Number 2 from DeChantal <br />Excavating LLC. The change order included an overlay of South Oak <br />`- Street from Pillsbury Drive to Nelson Street and the removal of a culvert <br />and two stumps at a cost of $12,228.77. <br />MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NUMBER 2 <br />FROM DECHANTAL EXCAVATING LLC. IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$12,228.77 FOR AN OVERLAY OF SOUTH OAK STREET FROM <br />PILLSBURY STREET TO NELSON STREET AND FOR THE REMOVAL <br />OF A CULVERT AND TWO STUMPS. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO INCLUDE AN ADDITIONAL 21 <br />DAYS TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT DUE TO DELAYS BY UTILITY <br />COMPANIES IN RELOCATING UTILITIES IN CHANGE ORDER <br />NUMBER 2. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />9.5 West Twin Lake Drive <br />Mike Loven discussed the bids received for the West Woodman and West <br />Butler Street Improvements and the Alternate Bids for Nickel Road and <br />West Twin Lake Road Improvements. Mr. Loven indicated that funding for <br />these projects will occur from the R &S capital outlay carryover, R &S <br />capital outlay, Sewer, and Storm Water funds. Nancy Malecha updated <br />
