Clerk's April 2009 Staff Report <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />Economic Development Commission <br />The Economic Development Commission met on April 21't. The main focus of the <br />discussion was the Small Cities Development Grant. The Council will receive an update <br />on this project in May. <br />Political/Miscellaneous Meet*ngs <br />April 1 — Retail Committee Meeting <br />April 7 — Council Meeting <br />April 7 — Highway 371 Meeting <br />April 7 — Meeting with the Senior Citizens Regarding Purchase of Chairs <br />April 7 — Meeting with County Assessor Regarding Board of Appeal Meeting <br />April 16 — CIP Meeting with WSN <br />April 21 — EDC Meeting <br />April 29 — Fire Board Meeting <br />Projects <br />Liquor/Tobacco Licenses <br />Liquor and tobacco applications have been sent out. The Clerk's office will be working <br />with licensees to renew their liquor and tobacco licenses. <br />Capital Improvement Planning <br />The City Clerk's office and the Public Works Department have been working with WSN <br />to prioritize projects for a capital improvements plan. The main purpose is to include the <br />top priorities on the PPL (Project Priority Lists). Tim Houle will update the Council on <br />this at the May Council meeting. <br />Small Cities Development Grant <br />The Economic Development Commission is still working at on this project. A <br />presentation will be made to the Council in May. The EDC is looking for conceptual <br />approval by the Council. <br />Clerk's Staff <br />• Reports from Nancy Malecha and Jeanyne Alderson are attached. <br />
