Mr. Nelson stated the funds will come <br /> from fundraising (pancake feeds) and a small portion from the <br /> police department. <br /> Council Member Seils inquired about grants for trucks, equipment, <br /> etc. Mr. Nelson stated there are not a lot of grants available but <br /> the department does apply for grants and yet has one to get <br /> awarded. <br /> D. Police <br /> Kate Petersen presented the project priorities for the police <br /> department: <br /> • Purchase 2020 Dodge Durango/equipment <br /> • Continue with implementation of body worn <br /> cameras for officers with assistance of grants <br /> • Plan & prepare for implementation of license plate <br /> reader with assistance of grants <br /> • Continue with preparation of a one day police boot <br /> camp/community engagement event <br /> • Continue to build on National Night Out <br /> • Impound lot improvements—fencing realignment& <br /> class 5 <br /> • Explore the need of a new additional officer <br /> • Implement an "internet purchase exchange <br /> location" in the City Hall parking lot with video <br /> surveillance <br /> • Find new home for bikes <br /> E. Public Works <br /> Jason Gorr presented project priorities for the Public Works <br /> Department: <br /> • Streets <br /> o Rasmussen/ South Washington / Butler <br /> Project <br /> o North Sluetter Project <br /> o Joint Roads Improvement Project <br /> discussion (NE Pequot) <br /> o North Patriot gutter/ runoff repair <br /> • Parks <br />
