�-- SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PEQUOT LAKES CITY COUNCIL <br />HIGHWAY 371 WORK SESSION <br />TUESDAY, APRIL 14, 2009 <br />PEQUOT LAKES CITY HALL <br />Members Present: Mayor Adams, Council Members Malecha, Ryan, Nagel, and <br />Sjoblad <br />Staff Present: Sandra Peine, City Clerk; Dawn Bittner, Zoning <br />Administrator; Tim Houle, and Mike Rude, City Engineers <br />Also Present: Tim Bray, MnDOT; and Tommy Woog, Highway 371 <br />Committee Chair <br />Call Meeting to Order <br />Mayor Adams called the meeting of the Pequot Lakes City Council to <br />order at 6:00 p.m. <br />1.1 Pledge of Allegiance <br />"I.—, <br />Mayor Adams led with the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />2. Consider Agenda <br />COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE AGENDA AS <br />SUBMITTED. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />3. Highway 371 Committee /Corridor Partner Meetings Update <br />Tommy Woog stated that member cities along the Highway 371 corridor <br />have been meeting, along with Melissa Samuelson of Congressman <br />Oberstar's office, to discuss funding of the Highway 371 project. He stated <br />that resolutions in support of the federal funding request for the project <br />have been received from all of the communities along the corridor. Mr. <br />Woog indicated that the deadline date for the funding application is April <br />27th. The Highway 371 Committee is spearheading the funding request; <br />however, Crow Wing County is taking the lead in drafting the application. <br />The Committee will meet in May to review the status of the funding <br />request and then report to the Council. <br />
