This will be a quarterly newsletter.
The newsletter is available in hard copy at City Hall or the Library and is available on the
City's Web Site. If there is an article or certain information you want included in the
newsletter, give me a call.
City Audit
The City's auditors were at City Hall during the week of March 23`d. All reports so far
from the Auditors have been positive. The audit will be presented to the Council in May.
The City's work comp audit was completed on March 30`h. I would like to especially
thank Nancy Malecha for all the work she has done with these two audits. The auditors
have commented on how streamlined and smoothly the audit went this year. This is
definitely due to Nancy's hard work, diligence, and organizational skills.
Small Cities Development Grant
The Economic Development Commission will continue to work to define a project for
this grant. This should be before the Council in May.
City Website
Nancy Malecha has redesigned the City's website. The goal is to make it unique to
Pequot Lakes and to have it be user friendly. Please take some time to look at the site.
Give either Nancy or me a call if there is something you would like to see on the website.
Safety Manuals
During the OSHA inspection all of our safety manuals were reviewed. I believe that
. having Jeanyne in charge of the manuals saved the City some fine money as she had all
of the manuals complete at the time of the inspection. However, OSHA informed Jeanyne
of some changes they wanted to see in our manuals. Jeanyne has taken the initiative to
meet with the departments to discuss the changes and to implement the changes. All of
the manuals have now been updated.
