City of Pequot Lakes
Engineering Services for 2013
Page 2
They include architects, civil engineers, funding assistance experts, electrical and mechanical engineers,
environmental professionals, information technology specialists, marketing personnel, surveyors, and
technicians in all of these areas.
We have people that are under 112 hour away that can provide their expertise - even with today's
communication technology, there is no substitute for face -to -face assistance. No other local firm can offer this
number of employees in these varied disciplines this close to benefit the City.
Part of the Community - Keeping Your Tax Dollars Close To Home
Unlike many of our competitors in this area, we are not a firm of regional offices that reports back to a
headquarters in another part of the state. Our employees and their families live, work, go to school, recreate,
and pay taxes in this County and in areas around the City. Any City tax dollars that are used for our services
go right back into this area of the State. We participate in and donate to Chamber and area events. We give our
time for Project Lead the Way and Bridges Academies and Workplace Connection for area Schools. Being a
member of the communities we serve, we interact with people that will be using the projects we are working on -
there is that little extra 'ownership" and personal pride that go into your improvements.
Tim and his wife thoroughly enjoyed the Independence Day fireworks as well as the Chokecherry Festival, and Mike and
his wife enjoyed the fireworks and parade.
As in past years, when a specific project is defined, we will provide a proposal with our tasks and costs.
We know there are many factors in choosing a. City Engineer. If you have questions on any part of our service to the City,
or what others might be offering, we would welcome the opportunity to sit down and have a discussion.
It has been a pleasure working with the City of Pequot Lakes. We look forward to continuing to be of service to you in
2013.
Sincerely,
WIDSETH SMITH NOLTING & ASSOCIATES, INC.
yr? // ,
Timothy M. Houle, PE Michael E. Rude, PE
Civil Engineer I Vice President Civil Engineer
