City of <br /> Pequot <br /> Lakes <br /> December 2019 Public Works Report <br /> Buildings• <br /> - Weekly cleaning and inspections of facilities <br /> - Monthly inspections and maintenance checklist <br /> - Changed lights/filters in City Hall, W/S Shop, PW Building, Library, Chamber, Cole <br /> - Facilitated Northland Fire Extinguisher Inspections (all buildings/vehicles) <br /> -After hours floor drain back up at Chamber(when women's toilets flushed)—last hr. of Santa Bobbin <br /> - Tested toilets on Monday repeatedly(at Chamber), no back up occurred <br /> - 3 days later, both Men'/Women's floor drains backed up, some leaked into basement from piping, got <br /> contractor to help diagnose and jet from septic cleanout back; cleaned up mess <br /> - Corresponded with contractor on adding an automatic ADA approved exterior door at the Cole <br /> Elevator <br /> - Took requested pictures to add to information required by MN State Historical for maintenance <br /> upgrade requests <br /> - Removed Recycling at City Hall & clean/maintain oil recycling bin (repeated shoveling) <br /> - Helped with Library maintenance items (Christmas items returned from Legion, baseboards moved) <br /> Streets• <br /> * SNOW UPDATES: 33" total this season, 23" in 3 events in December (4"- 11/27, 6"-11/30, 14"- <br /> 12/1, 6"- 12/9,3"-12/14), 2 full plows in Dec,3 cleanup days, 2 Snow Haul Days, other spot plows <br /> & product apps also <br /> - Tree removal (N. Washington low hanging hazard) <br /> - Installed multiple signs on preplaced posts (Olson, Firehall Markers, Akerson Speed) <br /> - Newest staff trained on snow route and other duties <br /> - Rear diff repair on 2015 MACK Plow Truck <br /> - Light assembly replacement and repair on Hiniker Plow, other Hiniker needed work also (loose hydro <br /> pump off frame) <br /> - Continued discussion and communication on Joint Powers Agreements between Breezy Point, Ideal <br /> Township, and Jenkins Township on Wild Acres, Nelson, Akerson, and Bushmann roads. <br /> - Once approved on final budget (Council)worked with John Deere and Cat Sales staff on spec'ing out <br /> a payloader. 12/17 we used a Loader(on demo)to move over 60 truckloads of snow out of downtown <br /> storage areas. The Mayor and Administrator were on site to check it out. <br /> Parks• <br /> - Removed snow from Flag Display as needed. <br /> - Removed snow, replaced Mutt Mitts, and emptied garbage can at Dog Park <br /> - Finished decorations in Trailside Park (H.S. art projects, we added lights, placed around park) <br /> - Helped set up and prep Chamber decorations in Trailside S Park w/Katie (to accommodate Antique <br /> Snowmobile Rendezvous route) <br /> - Helped set up for Santa Bobbin into Town Event (blew out area for bonfire, and festivities) <br /> - Helped provide materials for the Park Board's float <br /> Other: <br /> - City Sign Messages/Notifications modified multiple times <br /> - Blew out snow off Cemetery Road so Veteran Wreaths could be place by Volunteers <br />
