City of <br /> Pequot <br /> Lakes — <br /> November 2019 Public Works Report <br /> Buildings• <br /> - Weekly cleaning and inspections of facilities <br /> - Monthly inspections and maintenance checklist <br /> - Energy efficiency efforts: B3 Benchmark efforts with Melissa Burch &energy audit planning on all <br /> City buildings and treatment operations <br /> - Elevator inspections (contractor) <br /> - Birchdale Security inspections <br /> - Repaired toilet at Chamber(seat) <br /> - Solicited bids and working toward adding an automatic ADA approved exterior door at the Cole <br /> elevator <br /> - Removed recycling at City Hall & clean/maintain oil recycling bin <br /> - Decorated City buildings for Christmas (several new improvements) <br /> - Helped Chamber Staff with Chrishnas decoration efforts <br /> - Helped with Library maintenance item(white board removal, etc.) <br /> Streets• <br /> - Continued to finalize fleet maintenance including seasonal maintenance/winterization/storage <br /> - Prep for snow removal efforts: plows,blowers, tools, etc. <br /> - Applied salt/sand twice, addressed 2 slick road calls <br /> - Limb removal efforts continued throughout the entire City <br /> - Picked up remnants of MN Power tree removal work(Pequot Ave, Pine Street primarily) <br /> - Called in locates and installed multiple signs (Speed Limits, Truck Route, Cautions) <br /> -Newest staff trained on snow route <br /> - Discussed snow removal plans/maps/procedures with staff <br /> - Spoke with Bus Garage Manager about employees sticking to designated truck route(great response <br /> btw!) <br /> Parks• <br /> - Finalizing work on Flag Display(worked on and installed a protective railing on W end—storm <br /> sewer intake) <br /> - Routine inspections, and trash removal at multiple garbage barrels remaining <br /> - Solicited a bid for replacement fence for Beanhole Pit (removable) <br /> - Scarified existing soils(rented Harley Rake attachment for Skid Steer), added multiple dump trucks <br /> of good black dirt and spread over S. Trailside Park(lawn improvement on poor areas) <br /> - Staff ground all stumps in all our parks (removed chips, added black dirt) <br /> - Pruned trees in parks, removed brush <br /> - Removed small dead birch trees next to Band Shell in Trailside Park <br /> - Pine needles blown out of Sibley Lake Park <br /> Other: <br /> - City sign messages/notifications modified multiple times <br /> - Delivered Bobber pots (4) & 2x4s to City Hall (PD Shop) as requested by Park Commission for float <br /> decoration <br /> - All city managed flags maintained as directed <br />
