• Rustic Road- $162,384 (Per MN Statute 160.83, a rustic road must have the following characteristics: outstanding natural features or scenic beauty; an average daily traffic volume of less than 150 vehicles per day; year-round use as a local access road; and maximum allowable speed of 45 miles per hour.) A couple of things that are not included in the pricing: • Culverts: Should be around $3,500-$5,000 each for replacement depending on the size and length. • Clearing and grubbing: Without doing extensive work in the field I cannot give you a good guess as to where that would come in at. Depending on how many, how big the trees are and how easy they will come down, this could be in the $S,000-$10,000 range. • Ditchwork: Again, without any real extensive work on our end, I have no idea the volume of dirt that would be needed to fill in the slopes to the requirements you had sent. I don 't know for sure if there is even enough room to fit in the specs for the rzcral road which would amount to a fairly substantial increase to the pricing. It could be upwards of$20,000 or higher depending on what needs to be done. • Topsoil: I would assume the city would want all of the slopes covered in 4" of topsoil and then seeded. To stick a number to that, if S' were figured on both sides of the road, you're looking at another $20,000-$25,000 depending on how much topsoil was needed and what type of seed was spec'd out. • Utility relocations: May or may not need to be done. • Mailboxes: May or may not need to be done. • Striping: May or may not need to be done. With all of the items listed above that we did not include in the pricing, we would strongly encou�age you to get in contact with an engineer to have this project designed as some of the above mentioned items cannot be completed without propeY GPS work and design that we simply do not have the capabilities to perfoYm. The rural road in our opinion would need to be designed before we put actual numbers to things and the rustic road is borderline needing that as well. Council Action Requested: Council direction and clarification on the items brought forth for the North Sluetter Road Project.
