City of <br /> Pequot <br /> Lakes — _ <br /> October 2019 Public Works Report <br /> Buildings• <br /> - Weekly cleaning and inspections of facilities <br /> - Monthly inspections and maintenance checklist <br /> - Seasonal furnace checks in all buildings (replaced 2 faulty thermostats & filters as needed) <br /> - Coordinating redecorating plans with Library staff <br /> - Tested, then replace the 6 batteries on the electric lift(wouldn't hold a charge) <br /> - Cleaned/repaired gutters (electric lift) on City Hall, Library, Cole <br /> - Repaired toilet at Chamber(replace auto flush components) <br /> - Repaired broken toilet flush handles at both City Hall (PD) & Library <br /> - Solicited bids and working toward adding an automatic ADA approved exterior door at the Cole <br /> Building elevator area <br /> -Arranged American Door Company Service call for multiple garage door issues at City Hall and <br /> inspection of one door at PW Building(several weather strip issues, 2 operational issues, 2 sensor <br /> issues) <br /> - PW Building Update - communicated with WSN (them to Boser) on Grass (ok) &remaining issues <br /> with drainage channel & pond (no grass established, sediment needs removal, scarification of bed <br /> needed) <br /> - Coordination of schedule multiple HOTGL Steering Committee Meetings in Cole(2 Nov, 2 Dec) <br /> - Mowed/mulched all grounds as needed <br /> - Removed recycling at City Hall & clean/maintain oil recycling bin <br /> - Planned on how best to decorate City buildings for Christmas (several new improvements) <br /> - Housekeeping discussion between departments to allow for proper access to maintenance and <br /> electrical areas (OSHA compliance) <br /> - Annual compressor inspections on all City buildings were conducted by insurance rep (no extra <br /> charge) <br /> - PW Shop air compressor oil change <br /> - Weed removal around perimeter fence at PW Building <br /> Streets• <br /> - Repaired MULTIPLE pothole, shoulder, and drainage issues > worse than normal year with all the <br /> extra precipitation extending all season (problem areas =Nelson, Wild Acres, Akerson, Coleman <br /> Drive, low areas of Pequot Blvd.) <br /> -Washout repair(another) at guardrails(eastside) on the North end of Patriot Ave. THIS NEEDS A <br /> LARGER SCALE SOLUTION ASAP! (working with AB on gutters/spillways plan & H&R on <br /> guardrail work if needed—likely happening in the spring due to seasonal paving shutdown) <br /> - Seasonal fleet & equipment maintenance: Dump Trucks (3), Ford F350 Pickups (3), JD <br /> Tractor/Backhoe, Challenger Tractor/Mower, JD Skid Steer, JD Gator, Mowers, Backpack Blowers, <br /> Weed Whips, Chainsaws>Included: oil/filter changes on 3 dump trucks (annual), all other that <br /> needed oil/filter, transmission, air filters, grease, tire, hydraulic fluid, total fluid levels, cleaning,fuel <br /> stabilizer(mowers &stored equipment) <br /> - Limb removal efforts continued throughout the entire City <br /> - Multiple trees down and removed from roadways (many due to high winds and saturated soils) <br /> - Worked with MN Power staff to remove a large oak on power lines at Pequot Blvd and Ramsey <br />
