MONTHLY STAFF REPORT `— City Clerk's Office January,2009 Meetings City Council Meetings The Council held two Council meetings in January; a regular Council meeting on January 6'h and a workshop on Capital Improvement Planning on January 20t'. January 6,2009—Council Actions • Acknowledged that the 2009 Pay Equity Report has been submitted to the State • Entered into a Recycling Agreement with Crow Wing County • Nominated Justin Bolz-Andolshek to the North Central Economic Development Association • Appointed Cindy Rieck to the Economic Development Commission • Accepted proposal from Community Growth for 2009 Planning Services • Approved the prosecution agreement with Matt Mallie for 2009 • Made the annual appointments • Appointed annual depositories • Appointed official newspaper `.. • Accepted proposal from Sandelin Law Offices for Attorney services in 2009 • Re-appointed James Den Hartog to Park Commission • Approved amendment to Storm Water Management Utility Ordinance • Made a motion to remove the entrance to Front Street at the Intersection of Highway 371 and C.R. 17 • Accepted proposal for engineering services from WSN for 2009 • Accepted tasks 1 and 2 of the engineering proposal for South Oak Street Meetings Park Commission The minutes of the Park Commission meeting held on January 8t' are attached. The Park Commission discussed some goals for 2009. Some of the goals discussed included the development of Gildner Park,park signs, a park brochure and park planning. Economic Development Commission The minutes of the January 20 EDC meeting are attached. The Commission recommended that the Council enter into the contract with BLADC for 2009. The Commission also made a motion to become involved in the neighborhood stabilization program with BLADC taking the lead and working with entities in Crow Wing County. Projects Budeets-2009
