SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PEQUOT LAKES CITY COUNCIL <br /> TUESDAY, AUGUST 6, 2019 <br /> PEQUOT LAKES CITY HALL <br /> Members Present: Mayor Pro-Tem Seils, Council Members Akerson, Pederson, and <br /> Swanson <br /> Members Absent: Mayor Tayloe <br /> Staff Present: Nancy Malecha, City Administrator; Angie Duus, City <br /> Clerk/Treasurer; Jason Gorr, Public Works Director; and Tim <br /> Houle, City Engineer <br /> 1. Call Meetinq to Order <br /> Mayor Pro-Tem Seils called the meeting of the Pequot Lakes City Council to <br /> order at 5:30 p.m. <br /> 1.1. Pledqe of Alleqiance <br /> Mayor Pro-Tem Seils led with the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> 2. Consider Aqenda <br /> Mayor Pro-Tem Seils asked if there were any changes to the agenda. No <br /> changes. <br /> 3. 2020 Road Improvement Proiect Desiqns <br /> 3.1. Rasmussen Road <br /> Tim Houle explained the Rasmussen Road Open House last year and the input <br /> received and shared with staff. He stated that the map has not been changed <br /> after the open house. Mr. Houle stated that a design for Rasmussen Road and <br /> South Washington Avenue was approved at the July 2, 2019 City Council <br /> Meeting. He stated that they need to get into the design because there is a large <br /> amount of work to accomplish and we want to hit the competitive bidding time in <br /> the middle of the winter. Mr. Houle noted if the City keeps pushing things off we <br /> might miss the competitive bidding window. <br /> Mr. Houle summarized the Rasmussen Road improvements listed in the memo <br /> starting with South Rae Avenue going to East Sibley Street. He stated that there <br /> needs to be improvements to the underground utilities, sanitary sewer <br /> replacements, water main replacements, and infiltration improvements with a <br /> possible purchase of land for a south infi�tration basin. Discussion ensued <br /> regarding the width of the proposed walking/bike path and who will be <br /> responsible for the maintenance of the walking/bike path and the grassed <br /> boulevard in the South Rae Avenue to East Woodman Street section <br /> improvements. <br />
