City of <br /> Pequot <br /> Lakes = - <br /> August 2019 Public Works Report <br /> Buildin�s• <br /> - Monthly Building inspections and cleaning <br /> - Responded to a fire alarm at PW facility, it was merely from a water pressure fluctuation from nearby <br /> fireman training exercises and lessons were learned about proximity and resetting the fire protection <br /> system <br /> -Worked with WSN about PW Facility remaining items left <br /> - Inspection and cleanup related to Cole Memorial Reservations and use <br /> - Weekly cleaning and inspections of facilities <br /> Streets• <br /> - Greasing and maintenance of vital equipment <br /> - Ongoing runoff erosion repairs were identified and remedies planned <br /> - Limb removal efforts continued throughout the entire city prior to school bus season <br /> -Worked on N. Sluetter improvement discussion(estimates, research, on-site inspections) <br /> - Called in locates and installed 911 sign post <br /> - Ditch mowing on boulevards,roadsides, and ROWs <br /> Parks• <br /> - Removed 6 trees from Trailside Park and ground stumps for Flag Display <br /> - Met with subcontractors multiple times to coordinate efforts <br /> - Routine inspections, and trash removal at multiple garbage barrels <br /> - Helped prep, maintain, and clean up after multiple events (reunions, wedding, runs, Bands in the <br /> Park, etc.) <br /> - Improve Sibley Lake Park(outhouse seats, doors, cleaning,painting, pressure washed all surfaces & <br /> concrete, mowed, weed whipped site near lake for wedding ceremony, etc.) <br /> - LOTS of mowing in all parks/City grass with continued wet summer <br /> - Stump census on all City parks in prep for removal <br /> - Flag Display Project coordination between Xcel, TDS, Flag Vendor, and Parks Commission(locates, <br /> coordination meeting, on-site meeting, flag design, Xcel/TDS follow-up, on-going coordination for <br /> timelines, MN DNR Trails communication) <br /> - Mutt Mitt replacements as needed <br /> - Ground nesting yellow jackets removed (contracted) in cemetery <br /> - Dog Park maintenance <br /> Other: <br /> - City Message Sign notifications modified multiple times <br /> - Flags maintained as directed <br /> - Council meeting&prep <br /> - Team Leadership meeting <br /> - Budget work and meetings <br /> - Coordinated electrician work(motion light at Sibley Lake Park) <br /> - Bring out recycling at City Hall & clean/maintain oil recycling bin <br /> - Maintain grounds at the WTP &WWT ponds <br /> - Examined budget and sign inspection list in order to prepare a 2019 sign order, placed order <br /> - Hired a new Maintenance Worker, Randy Brickweg, set to start September 9`�'. <br /> Compiled and submitted by Jason Gorr—Pequot Lakes Public Works Director <br /> Please direct questions to: (612)810-9478 or jgorr@pequotlakes-mn.gov <br />
