MONTHLY STAFF REPORT <br /> City Clerk's Office <br /> December,2008 <br /> Meetings <br /> City Council Meetings <br /> The Council held three Council meetings in December. <br /> December 1.2008—Council Actions <br /> • Held the Truth in Taxation Hearing <br /> • Reviewed all budgets <br /> • Moved to continue using Lakeland Agency as City's Insurance Agent <br /> • Continued Agreement with Pine River Area Sanitary District <br /> • Moved to enter in an agreement with Breezy Point and School District to install a <br /> civil defense siren at Eagle View Elementary School <br /> • Amended the fee schedule for 2009 <br /> • Updated the accounting and reporting policy <br /> • Changed bank signatures to reflect new Mayor <br /> • Updated the Business Continuity Policy <br /> • Approved budget requests from BLADC and Region Five <br /> `.. • Library Board Appointments <br /> December 9.2008 <br /> • Designated Lakes State Bank for Health Savings Accounts <br /> • Authorized unused balance of the 2008 roads and streets capital outlay funds to be <br /> transferred to capital outlay carryover and designated for the south oak street <br /> project in 2009 <br /> • Adopted the final HRA levy <br /> • Adopted the final General Fund levy <br /> • Approved all budgets for 2009 <br /> • Moved to cease billing for storm water management utility <br /> • Moved to reorganize the water/wastewater and street departments and eliminated <br /> position of Water/Wastewater Supervisor <br /> December 23,2008 <br /> • Paid end of year bills <br /> Meetings <br /> Park Board <br /> The Park Board did not meet in December. <br /> Economic Development Committee <br /> The EDC met on December 16 . Ed Larsen will be speaking to the Council regarding <br /> discussion items from that meeting. <br />
