necessary permits to expand the beach, relocate the boat ramp, and remove the <br /> aquatic vegetation. <br /> Applicable Regulations: <br /> Section 17-5.2 OPEN SPACE (OS) <br /> 1. Purpose and Intent: To provide a zoning classification for preservation of <br /> sensitive areas, unique resources and designated non-developable property. Areas <br /> such as wetlands,bluffs, threatened and endangered species habitat, historic sites <br /> and lands set-aside as part the development process should be zoned as Open <br /> Space. <br /> 2. Compatibility: Open Space zone is compatible with every other zoning <br /> classification and any property that meets the purpose and intent of this zoning <br /> classification may be zoned Open Space. <br /> 3. Lot, Use and Density Requirements. <br /> A. There is no minimum lot size associated with the Open Space <br /> zoning classification. Setbacks established for the adjacent zoning <br /> district shall apply. <br /> 4. Mixed Zone Lots. <br /> A. For a lot crossing an Open Space zoning boundary into another <br /> zoning classification, the minimum buildable lot area shall be the <br /> same as the non-open space zoning classification with no area <br /> credit given for areas zoned Open Space. <br /> 5. Performance Standards. The following performance standards apply to all <br /> development in this zone: <br /> A. Vegetation Removal, Intensive. The submittal requirements and <br /> procedures contained in Section 5.4 "Farest Management (FM)", <br /> Subparts 4b and 4c shall be met and followed. <br /> Section 17-5.11 SHORELINE COMMERCIAL (SC) <br /> 1. Intent and Purpose: To establish and maintain a land use district for <br /> existing commercial, recreationally orientated uses within the shoreland area <br /> comprised of campgrounds, resorts,bars restaurants, marinas and similar water <br /> oriented uses with independent sanitary facilities and that are compatible with the <br /> natural resources of lakes and streams. <br /> 2.
