City of <br /> Pequot <br /> Lakes = -- <br /> May 2019 Public Works Report <br /> Buildings: <br /> - Holding tank pumped at City Hall Garage. <br /> - Discussion/site visit w/Tim(WSN) about PW Facilities Grounds Drainage—resulted in plan <br /> examination, survey crew, and request for Boser to have subcontractor improve to original plan size. <br /> - On-site meeting with Boser(Brian Bankers) with Northfork Excavating owner. <br /> - Received a bid from Northfork for additional landscaping work(will do in-house instead)—rock <br /> edging along west roof lines prior to remaining dirt work and grass seeding. <br /> - Wash bay curtain installed by Diamond Industries (Motley). <br /> - Installed PW Building edging, weed barrier, river rock on west side drip line. <br /> - Splashboard installed around mop sink in utility room at PW Building. <br /> - Grounds cleanup at Library. <br /> Streets• <br /> - Greasing and maintenance of vital equipment. <br /> - Finished 45+miles of street sweeping in Pequot with JD Skid Steer&Angle Broom (vs contracting <br /> out previously, we were able to save significant $). <br /> - Street shoulder repairs. <br /> - Had Anderson Brother Staff reconstruct and install bituminous gutters as needed and a damaged <br /> driveway apron (plow). <br /> - Comprehensive street survey was completed for all Pequot Lakes streets. <br /> - Received preliminary volumetric data of road use counts from MnDOT staff on 5 requested locations <br /> (both ends of Akerson,both ends of Nelson, Myers Rd), expect final extrapolated data available late <br /> summer. <br /> - WSN discussed with staff the detailed traffic study to be conducted in mid-late May(comp by Aug). <br /> - Conducted a roads tour with Council, Administrator, and Engineer. <br /> - Pothole repair(used over 10 tons of UPM so far in 2019), likely several more before it slows <br /> (estimated 'h on Rasmussen, '/ on Nelson/Wild Acres, '/ remainder). <br /> - PW Facility landscape estimate meeting. <br /> - Coordinate Anderson Brothers' repairs in town. <br /> - Coordinate shared road work w/area townships (Loon Lake& Ideal). <br /> Parks• <br /> - Routine inspections and trash removal at multiple garbage barrels. <br /> - Began mowing all parks /city grass. <br /> - Trash and stick cleanup periodically as able. <br /> - Coordinated Day of Caring crew from PLHS (25+ students) for park work, May 8�' (filled/planted 18 <br /> bobber flower pots, woodchip replacement in parks, cleaned ditches, tree trimming removal, Chamber <br /> flower garden redone, park cleanup). <br /> - Flag display meetings and discussion. <br /> - Splash pad (vendor) meeting. <br /> - Installed meters in parks, energized irrigation lines, and started irrigation for the summer. <br /> - Cleanup gravel in grass at Dog Park/Tower. <br /> - Mutt Mitt replacements as needed. <br />
