The training report totaled 14 hours.The list of training types, instructors, and hours was discussed. Bartels motioned to approve the report,second by Lillehei, motion passed. The first quarter personnel&operation report was as follows: a. Bill Rickard, Nate Schwankl, & Dalton Engholm constructed several new carts with castors for storing fire hose,tables, &chairs b. Fire fighters helped with Polar Plunge at Breezy Point Resort in March c. Neil Casanova located and acquired GPS coordinates for 80 fire hydrants in the City of PL d. Plans are in progress to remodel our meeting/training room with new tables, chairs, carpeting. Some type of wall separation between our storage room and meeting room entry way needs to be built. e.The Department is looking into new fire software to incorporate commercial properties,fire hydrants,street maps,and power lines in order to be able to deal with any type incidents f. We sent a fire truck to Crosslake's St. Patrick's day parade g. Dalton Engholm & Nate Schwankl attended pump operators classes at a State fire school at Moorhead h.Travis Aune married recently and hosted a reception/dance for Department members at the American Legion Post 49. i. Recognition for years of service were declared for Neil Casanova with 43 years, Larry Oaks with 27 years, & Bill Rickard with 18 years. j. Department is planning/acquiring volunteers to help with the 2019 Safety Kids program for early lune k. Chief Nelson attended a three day fire investigator's conference at St.Cloud I. Nate Schwankl is taking EMR initial class to become a First Responder m. Nate Schwankl, Dalton Engholm, & Brad McGuire are taking Fire Instructor I classes currently All Department members completed our annual physical consisting of lung capacity tests, urine analysis, EKG, blood pressure,and hearing tests.Our annual air mask fitting was also completed. Our storage room project is well underway with two walls constructed as planned. Doors and some type of wall separation are needed to hide the storage room when entering the meeting room. There was no old/unfinished business.
