He requested the Council to look at other options for budget <br />cuts. <br />MAYOR ADAMS MOVED THAT THE BUDGET CHANGES <br />PRESENTED AND THE LEVY AMOUNT PRESENTED BE <br />CONSIDERED AT THE DECEMBER COUNCIL MEETING. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />MOTION CARRIED 4 -1. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN OPPOSED. <br />6. Planning and Zoning Report <br />Report received by Council. <br />7. Fire Chief Report <br />Report received by Council. <br />8. Police Chief Monthly Report <br />Report received by Council. <br />8.1. Loitering Ordinance <br />The Council reviewed the proposed Loitering Ordinance. Acting <br />Chief Petersen stated that the reason the ordinance is being <br />proposed is to deal with juvenile issues. <br />Council Member Ryan questioned if the City could use the <br />administrative citation rather than handling these as misdemeanors <br />or petty misdemeanors. <br />MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO TABLE THE ORDINANCE TO <br />ALLOW INPUT FROM THE CITY ATTORNEY REGARDING THE <br />PENALTY AND TO REVIEW THE ISSUE OF ADMINISTRATIVE <br />CITATIONS FOR THESE OFFENSES. COUNCIL MEMBER <br />NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />8.2. Jenkins Township Police Contract <br />COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO APPROVE <br />RESOLUTION 10-30,2011 LAW ENFORCEMENT CONTRACT <br />AND JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF <br />�. PEQUOT LAKES AND JENKINS TOWNSHIP FOR $26,500. <br />
