December 2018 Water/Wastewater Report <br /> Water Department <br /> Facility Performance for December 2018: <br /> Flow <br /> Average daily gallons pumped: 114,000 gallons <br /> Maximum daily gallons pumped: 173,000 gallons <br /> Minunum daily gallons pumped: 38,000 gallons <br /> Total monthly gallons pumped: 3,419,000 gallons <br /> Lab <br /> Average daily chlorine concentration: 0.43 (mg/1) <br /> *Recommended chlorine concentration: 0.2 to 0.5 mg/1 <br /> Average daily fluoride concentration: 0.5 (mg/1) <br /> �Recommended fluoride concentration: 0.5 mg/1 to 0.9 mg/1 <br /> Wastewater Dep� <br /> Facility PerFormance for December 2018: <br /> Flow <br /> Average Daily Flow: 61,635 gallons (Design—121,795 gaUday) <br /> Maximum Daily Flow: 71,292 gallons <br /> Minimum Daily Flow: 49,965 gallons <br /> Total Monthly Flow: 1,910,968 gallons <br /> Operations Report <br /> 1) Water treatment facility inspections were completed daily. <br /> Z) Wastewater facility and lift sta.tion checks were done every Monday,Wednesday, and <br /> Friday. <br /> 3) Monthly lift station maintenance(check amps, clean floats, inspect wet well, etc)was <br /> completed on 1/16. <br /> 4) Weekly water testing was completed.. <br /> 5) Water meters were read on 1/23. <br /> 6) Monthly fluoride report was submitted to Minnesota Department of Health on 1/2. <br /> 7) Monthly Discharge Monitoring Report was submitted to MI'CA on 1/2. <br /> 8) The annual water use report was submitted to MN DNR on 1/3. <br /> 9) The annual water conservation report was submitted to MDH on 1/8. <br /> 10)The City's new water/sewer utility truck has been delivered. We are having some <br /> additional work done to the toolboxes in the utility body and then we will be putting the <br /> truck into service and prepping the 2004 for sale. <br /> 11)A water distribution system leak was discovered in the Industrial Park. Luckily we were <br /> able to isolate it with a service shut-off valve so repairs can wait until warmer weather. <br /> 12)During the upcoming stretch of cold weather we will be updating the Lockout/Tagout <br /> program in the water treahnent plant and working on other inside jobs. <br /> 13)Spring Lake Engineering and Tota1 Control Systems are planning on upgrading the process <br /> control system in the City's water treatment plant during the week of February 14th. <br /> Respectfully Submitted by Andrew Schwartz, Operations Manager,PRASD <br /> Please feel free to call my cell at 320-232-5787 with any questions/concerns. <br /> For 24-hour emergency service call 218-851-9060. <br />
