<br />him pick choke cherries if we continue the event. Loven motioned to not do the event,
<br />second by Oaks. The vote was 17 to 6 in favor of cancelling the event.
<br />Fire prevention week is October 3`d thru the 9th. We plan to have our open house on
<br />Wednesday, October 6th. We plan our monthly meeting for Wednesday, October 13th.
<br />Plans for open house include the propane car and taking pictures of children with fire
<br />gear. Food will be served at the hall also. The open house will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00
<br />pm.
<br />We plan to go to Eagle View Elementary School for fire prevention classes on Tuesday,
<br />October 5th. The theme for this year is beep beep- smoke detectors. Fire fighters planning
<br />to go to Eagle View are Dan Cerise, Neil, Pat, Katie, Dave Szymanski, John Hayes,
<br />Tasha, Bill, Dan Loven, Jess, Kirk, Larry, Dave Ackerman, Tom, and Peterson I.
<br />We are planning to ask the art class to do a mural for the fire hall. We will also ask them
<br />to help design a new patch with a contest. We would like to have this done before our
<br />100, anniversary in 2017. Judging for the new patch design will be done by the
<br />department.
<br />We received an advertisement to purchase a pellet grill that looks like a fire truck to be
<br />used for a fire department fund raiser raffle. No interest was expressed.
<br />The air fill station will be here next Friday. Our new air bottles will be here any day.
<br />We express a thank you to John Hayes, Jeremie, Brian, and Kevin for working at the
<br />Breezy fest.
<br />A decision to change our procedure for borrowing tables was made. From now on all
<br />tables will be arranged through Tom, Bill, or Brian. They will handle returning tables
<br />also.
<br />Neil motioned to use our pancake money to promote fire prevention, second by Oaks,
<br />motion passed.
<br />The price we will charge for the quarts of chokecherry syrup is $5.00 per jar.
<br />There was an incident on County Road 16 involving a child hit by a car, not a school bus.
<br />Kate cancelled the call for us.
