As a reminder for the City Council,only two bids were received back at the beginning of Au$ust�Young Excavating at abaut$691,000 and Aspen Construction Company at about$760,000). We took al1 the line items and tried to split out the approprtate quantities amongst all the different sets of improvements the Council mentioned.We used an average of the two bids to apply to the quantities in each sefi af improvements. For some of the"generaN'bid items(e.g.Mobilization;Wark Zone Traffic CoMrol,Erosion Control Supervisor),we did not split them amongst the different sets af improvements but instead used the average because they would be needed on each s�t of improvement. This will result in the sum of the total of each different set of improvements exoeeding the bids received (but ff you proceed with smaller proJects,and quantities,we will probably see higher unit p�ices). NOTE that the design of Sibley Street anticipated Patriot Avenue 6eing removed,and so the vertical profile grade of the proRased improved Sibley Street went`straighY over to Frorrt Street If just Sibley Street is improved in some manner,a new design will need to be perfonried,and a better wst estimate than the one below would neetJ to be prepared. Widening Government Drive on the west stde by 2 feet from Main Street to Sibley Street=$90,QOQ Clarifiiers:Two feet of existing pavement on the west side wauld be removed,widened by 2 feet,and 4 new feet of pavement put in so the pavemeM joirrt would avoid tire tracking.It also includes revisions to the bump out on the northwest corrte�of Main and Government. Sidewalk on the sfluth side of Main Street from Govemment Drive to Patriat Avenue=$80,000 Gaciflers:Includes some work around the existing trafflc control cabinet in the southeast comer of Patriot and Main. Stonr�drainage system on Sibley Street from Government Drive to Front Street�$105,000 Cla�ifiers:It will be challengin�just to put in a"storm drainage system"without a design and some roadway improveme�s.This cost does not include erasion cantrol as some kind of roadway work(with erosion control}would be needed too. Roadway improvements on Sibley Street from Governmetrt Drive to Front Street tt$240,OD0 Clarffiers:This includes new cur6 and�utter,new pavement,and new sidewalk.Due to keeping Patrtot Avenue,some kind of new desi�n and a better c�st estimate would need to be undertaken.
