City Council Minutes <br />October 5, 2010 <br />Page 9 of 12 <br />-------------------- - - - - -- <br />Mike Loven explained that there has been an ongoing water erosion <br />problem on Marshall Street. He explained that the City received a <br />recommendation from the City Attorney that it would be appropriate to <br />proceed with the improvements. Mike explained that he received two <br />quotes for the project; however, one of the companies withdrew their bid <br />as they did not want to do the project. He explained that Anderson <br />Brother's bid was about $1,400 higher than the other bidder. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO ACCEPT THE QUOTE FROM <br />ANDERSON BROTHERS OF $21,463.75 AND TO PROCEED WITH <br />THE MARSHALL STREET PROJECT WITH THE PROJECT TO BE <br />FUNDED FROM THE ROADS AND STREETS CAPITAL OUTLAY <br />BUDGET. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />9.2. Wilderness Road Joint Maintenance Agreement <br />COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO APPROVE THE ROAD <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF NISSWA AND PEQUOT <br />LAKES FOR WILDERNESS ROAD. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />9.3. West Twin Lakes Road Improvement <br />Mike Loven explained that there is an erosion problem on both sides of <br />the north end of West Twin Lake Road. He stated that the City has <br />received a quote from Anderson Brothers in the amount of $4,632.80 to <br />repair the problem. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO REPAIR THE EROSION <br />PROBLEM ON WEST TWIN LAKE ROAD FOR $4,632.80 WITH THE <br />FUNDING TO COME FROM THE ROADS AND STREETS CAPITAL <br />OUTLAY BUDGET. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />9.4. Repair Erosion Problem on North Linden Road <br />Mike Loven explained that there has been an on -going erosion problem on <br />North Linden Road. He indicated that he has received a quote from <br />Anderson Brothers in the amount of $5,312.92 to correct the problem. He <br />requested to waive the second bid requirement. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO WAIVE THE TWO BID <br />REQUIREMENT AND TO ACCEPT THE BID FROM ANDERSON <br />
