MONTHLY STAFF REPORT City Clerk's Office July, 2010 Meetings City Council Meetings July 6th, Council Actions • Issued a tobacco license for Oasis Liquor • Adopted Resolution 10 -17 Declaring Adequacy of Petition and Ordering Preparation of Feasibility Report for Improvements to Wildlife Trail • Authorized the City to move forward with the prosecution of the Planning and Zoning Violations for the Dahl property • Adopted Ordinance 10 -08 Amending Chapter 17 of the City Code Relating to the Definition of Retail Use • Adopted Ordinance 10 -09 Amending Chapter 17 of the City Code Relating to Metes and Bounds Subdivisions • Adopted Resolution 10 -18 Regarding the Acquisition of Outlot B in the Branches Subdivision • Moved to purchase a fill station and three air pack cylinders for the fire `., department • Acknowledged Mike Marotta's request to withdraw his employment as a part time police officer • Denied a request to make a donation to the STS program • Moved to waive the two quote requirement and to accept the bid for the paving of a portion of West Butler Street in conjunction with the TDS parking lot improvements • Appointed the election judges for the Primary Election • Authorized a temporary one day special event liquor license for Mayson's in conjunction with the MS bike event • Adopted the outside meter payment plan Meetings Park Commission July 8th Meeting .... The July Park Commission meeting was canceled. Economic Development Commission July 20th Meeting .... (Minutes are attached). The EDC discussed changes that were made to the economic development section of the Comp Plan. The EDC had once again requested that the financial incentive section referring to business subsidies be removed from the Comp Plan. The Planning Commission did not remove this section. The EDC has made a motion of recommendation to the Planning Commission regarding this issue.
