MONTHLY STAFF REPORT <br />City Clerk's Office <br />July, 2010 <br />Meetings <br />City Council Meetings <br />July 6th, Council Actions <br />• Issued a tobacco license for Oasis Liquor <br />• Adopted Resolution 10 -17 Declaring Adequacy of Petition and Ordering <br />Preparation of Feasibility Report for Improvements to Wildlife Trail <br />• Authorized the City to move forward with the prosecution of the Planning and <br />Zoning Violations for the Dahl property <br />• Adopted Ordinance 10 -08 Amending Chapter 17 of the City Code Relating to the <br />Definition of Retail Use <br />• Adopted Ordinance 10 -09 Amending Chapter 17 of the City Code Relating to <br />Metes and Bounds Subdivisions <br />• Adopted Resolution 10 -18 Regarding the Acquisition of Outlot B in the Branches <br />Subdivision <br />• Moved to purchase a fill station and three air pack cylinders for the fire <br />`., department <br />• Acknowledged Mike Marotta's request to withdraw his employment as a part <br />time police officer <br />• Denied a request to make a donation to the STS program <br />• Moved to waive the two quote requirement and to accept the bid for the paving of <br />a portion of West Butler Street in conjunction with the TDS parking lot <br />improvements <br />• Appointed the election judges for the Primary Election <br />• Authorized a temporary one day special event liquor license for Mayson's in <br />conjunction with the MS bike event <br />• Adopted the outside meter payment plan <br />Meetings <br />Park Commission <br />July 8th Meeting .... The July Park Commission meeting was canceled. <br />Economic Development Commission <br />July 20th Meeting .... (Minutes are attached). The EDC discussed changes that were <br />made to the economic development section of the Comp Plan. The EDC had once again <br />requested that the financial incentive section referring to business subsidies be removed <br />from the Comp Plan. The Planning Commission did not remove this section. The EDC <br />has made a motion of recommendation to the Planning Commission regarding this issue. <br />
