School Update Commissioner Lindholm shared the school's homecoming is next week and the football game will be at 6:00 on Friday, September 28th. He added that he had presented the school board with enrollment projections for the next five years showing a growth for the middle and high school level and the need for additional faculty. 8. Chamber Update Katie Wasserman stated the Chamber had 1500 more people walk i through the visitor center in August than last year at the same time and has gained approximately 300 more Facebook followers since the beginning of April. She shared some events the Chamber is involved in to ' include: • October 1 St— Business Spotlight A to Z � • October 1St— City Candidate Forum at the High School Auditorium 'i from 6:30 to 8:30 PM • October 15�' —Business Showcase hosted by Landis Gyr from 5:00 �� to 6:30 PM Ms. Wasserman also no#ed that the Chamber has partnered with the City ' to do a Business to Business (B26)�nthich is an opportunity for all businesses in Pequot Lakes to build a nefinrork of other businesses and � she stated more information can be found on their website and Facebook �i Pa9e• ' 9. BLAEDC Update � I I Tyler Glynn stated BLAEDC has a lot of projects going on right now and included the information about the Unified Fund monies that are available. Nancy Malecha inquired if there was an electronic marketing piece I` available on the Unified Fund. Mr. Glynn indicated that he can send some � marketing information to the City but does not have anything in an electronic format. 10. Citv of Jenkins Update Commissioner Lubke noted MnDot has added a left hand tum lane on State Highway 371 at Lilac Street.
