Next Meetin� <br /> Attendance for October 11, 2018 meeting all members present will be in <br /> attendance. <br /> Ms. Bittner stated that Ms. Nancy Malecha will come to the October 11, 2018 <br /> meeting to discuss the Capital Improvement Plan and how as a committee we <br /> can set money aside for future projects. Commissioner Nagel asked how the <br /> Commission is affected by the Trailside Park project with budgeting going <br /> forward for future projects. Commissioner Bryan question�d about possibly using <br /> Charitable Gambling to raise money for the Parks. Ms. �ittner explained that the <br /> City cannot solicit funds and that would have to be completely separate from the <br /> City. Chair Ronning would like to know what the Park's actual budget is, what we <br /> are authorized to do with and without Council approval, what are the major <br /> projects we are spending the funds on currently and how mueh money would be <br /> available for purchasing Christmas lights. Ms. Bittner stated that all these <br /> questions are good for Ms. Malecha next month. <br /> 8. Other Business <br /> Ms. Bittner stated that the Highway 371 landscaping project will be started within <br /> the next finro weeks and finishing in the spring. The landscape committee may <br /> have to meet again because of a complaint that has been brought to the city <br /> regarding the staking on the plateau at the south end of Patriot Ave. Chair <br /> Ronning voiced his concems regarding the MNDot landscaping plan. <br /> Ms. Bittner spoke regarding Sibley Park kiosk materials were enlarged and now <br /> placed in the kiosk. Commissioner Sjoblad was concemed that the picture of the <br /> Chamber building was out of date. <br /> Chair Ronning spoke regarding the Sibley Lake Park bathrooms and the stairs to <br /> the lake be updated and asked if there is a plan for repairs. Ms. Bittner said the <br /> City is working with the Sibley Lake Association to get the repairs on the steps <br /> done and thinks the Association will get those repairs done yet this fall. <br /> Discussion ensued regarding some suggestions for remedies of these issues. <br /> Ms. Swanson brought up concems regarding a washout in the road by the dam <br /> at Mayo Preserve. It is fairly dangerous and should be filled in. <br /> Chair Ronning inquired if we paid for the silhouettes at the dog park if they were <br /> donated. Ms. Bittner stated that they were donated at the time of construction. <br /> Chair Ronning asked for an update on the dog food complaint from the last <br /> meeting. Ms. Bittner stated there have not been any other incidents since. Ms. <br /> Bittner will respond to the woman who wrote the initial email giving her notice on <br /> the status of the dogfood incidents. <br />
