Commissioner Birch stated the south end of Patriot Avenue is the most logical location <br /> for additional commercial development. <br /> Commissioner Hallan agreed and stated if the business park is eactended to the south the <br /> area along Patriot will be targeted for additional commercial development due to its <br /> proximity to the business park. Also, its proximity to the wastewater ponds make it <br /> more conducive for development. <br /> Mr. Burslie asked about other changes the commission members have noticed due to the <br /> realignment. <br /> Commissioner Savio stated early on there was a 25%reduction in business. <br /> Commissioner Birch stated he is now able to easily cross Patriot Avenue when wallang <br /> due to the decreased traffic. <br /> North Patriot Ave. <br /> Commissioner Hallan stated there was a commercial area platted many years ago that <br /> was never developed. He stated there is limited traffic in the area now due to the <br /> realignment. <br /> Commissioner Birch stated he does not envision commercial development along the 'I <br /> north corridor of Patriot Avenu�in the future. � <br /> Grow Zone I� <br /> Commissioner Hallan asked if there is a need to extend the grow zone 2-3 blocks along <br /> Main Street to the east. <br /> Commissioner Birch stated it should not be e�rtended in order to maintain a buffer area <br /> to the adjacent neighborhoods. <br /> Councilor Loukota stated it could potentially be extended only along Main Street.
