MINUTES <br /> PEQUOT LAKES PLANNING COMMISSION/ <br /> BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br /> REGULAR MEETING <br /> AUGUST i6, 2oi8 <br /> PRESENT: Andrew Birch, Mark Hallan, Douglas Leckband, and Nathan Norton. <br /> ABSENT: Wesley Wilson. <br /> CITY PLANNER: Justin Burslie, Sourcewell <br /> ZONING SPECIALIST: Dawn Bittner <br /> COUNCIL LIAISON: Jerry Akerson <br /> The meeting was called to order by Chair Halla�at b:oo PM. <br /> ELEG"r A VICE-CHAIR <br /> Chair Hallan informed the Planning Commission that Planning Commission Member <br /> Wallin resigned because h�moved out of Pequot Lakes. He further asked for a <br /> nomination or to volunteer to be Vice-Chair. When this failed, Chair Hallan stated we <br /> will continue this�t the September meeting. <br /> COMPR�HENSIVE PLAN UPDATE <br /> Integrated Growth Plan Section— <br /> Chair Hallan pointed out the first bullet point which states"Agricultural uses are an <br /> important part of life in Pequot Lakes". There are not a lot of agriculture in Pequot <br /> Lakes. Council Member Akerson stated there still are quite a few families providing <br /> agricultural uses in the northeast portion of the City. <br /> Mr. Burslie suggested the following edit: "Forested areas, open space and agricultural <br /> uses are an important part of life in Pequot Lakes". This combines the first two bullets. <br /> Zoning Specialist Bittner stated we should strike"and the 2004 plan which it replaces" <br /> in the fourth paragraph. <br /> Mr. Burslie stated Staff plans to hold the Public Hearing at the September meeting. <br /> Also strike the number of acres for A.griculture and Forest Preservation definitions on <br /> page 2. <br /> MINUTES 1 <br /> Pequot Lakes Planning Commission <br /> August i6, 2oi8 <br /> � <br />
