City Council Minutes <br /> August 7, 2018 <br /> Page7of8 <br /> ----------------------------- <br /> 10.1 B Heart of the Good Life Development- Video <br /> Nancy Malecha stated the Economic Development Commission is <br /> unanimously recommending the Council proceed with the creation of a <br /> video showcasing the Heart of the Good Life Development. Ms. Malecha <br /> presented the proposal from Widseth Smith Nolting at a cost of$14,000 to <br /> $16,000 to be paid from the Business Park Fund. <br /> Mayor Adams inquired if there were proposals from other companies that , <br /> were looked at for the video. Nancy Malecha indicated there had not been ' <br /> any other proposals requested per the recommendation by the EDC. � <br /> MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO AU'fiHORIZE STAFF TO SEEK <br /> ADDITIONAL PROPOSALS F4R THE CREATION OF A VIDEO <br /> SHOWCASING THE HEART OF THE GOOD LIFE DEVELOPMENT. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SE�ONDE� THE MOTION. <br /> Council discussion ensued regarding the essence of timing and difficulty in <br /> comparing proposals from other companies, <br /> MOTION CARRIED 3-2. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON AND <br /> SWANSON OPPOSED. <br /> 10.2. HRA Executive Direc#or Resi�na#ion <br /> Nancy Malecha informed_the Council that Barb Carlson, Executive , <br /> Director for the Pequot Lakes Housing & Redevelopment Authority has <br /> submitted her resignation effective December 7, 2018 adding the City is <br /> grateful for Ms. Carlson's dedication and years of service. <br /> THE COUNCIL ACKNOWLEDGED THE RESIGNATION OF BARB <br /> CARLSON. ' <br /> 11. Other Business <br /> There was no other business. <br /> 12. Adioumment <br /> There being no further business, COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON <br /> MOVED TO ADJOURN. COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />
