COMMISSIONER SJOBLAD SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0 <br /> 5. Economv Task Force Update <br /> Chair Jurchen shared that the Community Sign was approved by the City <br /> Council. Mr. Jurchen added that the Economy Task Force is looking at <br /> contacting lenders, developers and contractors for economical input for <br /> our community. <br /> 6. School Update <br /> Commissioner Lindholm stated he had conversations with people that <br /> would possibly be interested in investing in a for-profit sports facility rather <br /> than a publicly funded facility. <br /> 7. Chamber Update <br /> Katie Wassermann stated the Stars & Stripes and Bean Hole Days events <br /> were successful adding next year Bean Hole Days will be held on July <br /> 16th 8� 17th in order to further separate it from Stars $ Stripes Days. Ms. <br /> Wassermann added a Business Showcase will be on July 26th and <br /> presented by Stonemark Land Surveying from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at <br /> the Cole Memorial Building with a tour of the Pequot Lakes Historical <br /> Society's museum. <br /> 8. BLAEDC Update <br /> Tyler Glynn stated they just received approval for three more Unified Fund <br /> loans adding there are now a total of seven loans through the program <br /> with a total of approximately$450,000. <br /> 9. Citv of Jenkins Update <br /> Commissioner Lubke shared a story about a couple he had met that <br /> relocated to the Jenkins area and were very happy with their decision to <br /> move to this area stating they are "living the dream". <br /> 10.
