1. June 2, 2010 — Mr. Dahl stopped by City Hall and explained that he had been
`- injured again and is unable to work. He was not willing to sign the Letter of
Agreement. He wants to continue to use the privacy fences. He doesn't agree
that he should only have one recreational vehicle. He doesn't have anyone to
move the refuse and debris from his property and the June 17 date might be too
soon. He stated he was looking for some help from the City and will attend the
Planning Commission meeting June 17 and the City Council meeting July 6 to
explain why he can't remove the refuse and debris and ask for City help. He
stated he wants to demo the existing dwelling and move the 2 mobile homes
together first. I suggested he remove all of the refuse and debris first and then we
can permit use of the mobile homes as a dwelling. We cannot issue a permit for
the dwelling while he is in violation. The City Staff that overheard the
conversation indicated that in their opinion he has no intention of complying with
the City Code.
2. May 17, 2010 Officer Chad Nangle delivered the original and one copy of the
letter of agreement for Mr. Dahl's signature. Mr. Dahl stated he wanted to look it
over prior to signing same.
3. April 15, 2010 Chief Braam and I visited Mr. Dahl. Chief Braam indicated that
we were following up on our previous year's violation list. We discussed all of
the items included in the May 4 Letter of Agreement.
4. October 27, 2009 — City received complaint regarding large buildings being
moved onto Dahl property. Staff explained necessity of modifying City Code to
meet State Statute changes to allow what he wanted to do without Variance.
5. April 3, 2009 — Letter to Mr. Dahl regarding possible construction of storage
shed; reminded him he is still on violation list.
6. April 28, 2008 — Letter to Mr. Dahl outlining remaining concerns.
7. April 28, 2008 — Memo to City Council explaining April 17, 2008 site visit.
8. April 17, 2008 — Note explaining site visit with Mr. Dahl.
9. November 14, 2007 — Officer Ryan hand delivered violation letter to Mr. Dahl at
his workplace.
10. October 23, 2006 — Letter to Mr. Dahl outlining remaining concerns.
11. January 9, 2006 — Letter to Mr. Dahl outlining remaining concerns.
12. August 4, 2005 — Letter to Matt Mallie informing him that most refuse and debris
has been cleaned up and to stop prosecution.
13. Information from previous prosecution available.
