During the day there would be about 3 to 5 dogs out at a time, not 25. A staff person would be with them. When asked, Mr. Garland stated that the 15 to 17 runs would be inside, not outside. Leaving the dogs alone creates the barking scenario; the dogs will be playing with staff and socializing deterring the barking. The fence is planned to be 400 linear feet chain link type fence. Mr. Garland stated the fence will not be screened. Mrs. Garland stated she has been a pet groomer for 16 years, a Vet Tech for 8 years and has worked with animals forever. She has taken classes in animal behavior and has experience with pet care. Inside the fenced area will be another area for non - socialized dogs. The fence will be buried 1 foot in ground with 6 feet above. The Ordinance requires 6 feet maximum above ground. Mr. Woog stated the Ordinance limits the size of signs to 3 square feet. The size requested is what is allowed in the Commercial zone. Mr. Marohn explained the Ordinance provides for Animal Husbandry. A Boarding Facility is a separate use. Animal Units do not apply to this request.
