Purpose. <br />The purpose of these resort standards is to give flexibility in structure replacement consistent <br />with Minnesota Statutes, section 103F227, and in resort development and redevelopment due to <br />the unique economic and cultural value that resorts provide, while improving rainwater <br />management and promoting natural shorelines in these developments. <br />Subp. 2. Mined -use common interest communities or planned unit develo n s. <br />Licensed commercial establishments existing prior to the adoption of these dards that <br />function similar to a resort, but are inconsistent with the resort definition e allowed by <br />local governments where permitted. Local governments may allow e * ng rcial <br />establishments with common interest communities that allow residen 1 use wit <br />establishment to replace or expand provided at least 5 dwelling are held out t public <br />for transient use and the following standards are met or exceet d: _ <br />A.
