City Council Minutes <br /> June 5, 2018 <br /> Page 3 of 12 <br /> ----------------------------- <br /> Ryan Schmidt with Schlenner Wenner and Company reviewed the 2017 <br /> Audit Report with the Council and explained the audit process. Mr. <br /> Schmidt stated the audit went well, the City practices and processes are <br /> standard, and the City is in good financial condition. �I <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE 2017 <br /> AUDIT REPORT. COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 6. Planninc� and Zoninq ; <br /> 6.1. PlanninA Commission Report <br /> � <br /> The May 30, 2018 Planning Commission Report, May 3, 2018 draft ' <br /> Special Planning Commission Meeting minutes, and the May 17, 2018 <br /> draft Planning Commission meeting minutes were received by Council. <br /> 6.2. Plannin� Commission Vacancv <br /> Dawn Bittner stated Mark Mortenson has resigned from the Planning � <br /> Commission and his term would have expired on December 31, 2018. � <br /> � <br /> THE COUNCIL ACKNOWLEDGED THE RESIGNATION OF MARK ' <br /> MORTENSON. � <br /> 6.3. Comprehensive Plan Update �, <br /> Dawn Bittner stated the Planning and Zoning Department has reached out I <br /> to many of the City's active community committees to collect comments <br /> and suggestions to update the Comprehensive Plan. Ms. Bittner asked <br /> that any input on the Transportation and Infrastructure sections be <br /> forwarded to her. <br /> Council Member Akerson inquired why the business emails were not used ', <br /> to communicate with the business owners. Ms. Bittner explained that at ' <br /> the time the emails were collected from the business owners they were <br /> only to be used to update the City's website. Nancy Malecha explained ', <br /> she is in the process of gaining approval from the business community to 'i <br /> use their email addresses for future communication efforts that will be I <br /> aligned with the Communication Manager. �' <br /> 6.4.
