The Planning Commission is sending you 3
recommendations.
The City has received complaints regarding short-term rentals, also known as VRBO,
Airbnb, etc.We have language in our ordinance regarding these, but it is virtually
unenforceable. These types of rentals disturb the character of residential
neighborhoods, while being a resource to our City businesses. Staff has also discussed
these rentals with some of the property owners who are renting their properties. The
Planning Commission will continue their discussion at the July i9 meeting.
Copies of the June 2 Minutes are attached. Please feel free to contact me with any
questions or concerns at 218-568-6699 or at dbittner(aequotlakes-mn.gov. Thank you.
Sincerely, ,
— )
,-C -f'
 Dawn Bittner
Zoning Specialist
C: Planning Commission
"Thzr institution zs an ecual opponunity provider und enploye:"
