City Council Minutes <br /> June 5, 201 S <br /> Page6of12 <br /> ----------------------------- <br /> The April 2018 Fire Department Operations Report and the April 25, 2018 <br /> Fire Board Meeting minutes were received by Council. <br /> 7.1. Request to Purchase Truck <br /> Tom Nelson explained the Fire Department would like to replace the 1997 <br /> one ton truck that has been used in fighting grass fires. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE <br /> PURCHASE OF A 2019 F350 FORD SUPER DUTY TRUCK FROM <br /> NATIONAL AUTO FLEET GROUP THROIlGH THE NJPA CONTRACT <br /> IN THE AMOUNT OF $37,932 TO BE PAID FOR BY THE FIRE <br /> DEPARTMENTS CAPITAL OUTLAY BUDGET ($30,000) AND <br /> DONATIONS RECEIVED ($7,932). COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> Council Member Swanson inquired if the old truck will be sold. Chief <br /> Nelson explained that it will be sold through a bidding process and the <br /> funds may be used to equip the new truck. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 7.2. Firefiqhter Resiqnation <br /> Tom Nelson stated that Casey Emans has resigned from the Fire <br /> Department. <br /> THE COUNCIL ACKNOWLEDGED THE RESIGNATION OF CASEY <br /> EMANS. <br /> 8. Police Report <br /> The April 2�98 Police Department Monthly Report was received by <br /> Council. <br /> 9. Public Works Report <br /> The May 2018 Water/Wastewater Report was received by Council. <br /> 9.1 Water Plant Process Control Svstem Upc�rade <br /> Andy Schwartz presented finro proposals from Integrated Process <br /> Solutions, Inc. and Spring Lake Engineering to upgrade the process <br /> control system at the Water Treatment Plant and the Water Tower.
